About Our Founder

Alex Purple Liera is an educator, activist, community organizer, and healer. She began her healing journey 10+ years ago. Since then, she has recognized that healing includes community. It was through a community healing circle led by BIWOC that inspired her to create the WOC Sister Collective. She saw a need for safe spaces where BIWOC could heal, feel seen, feel heard and step into their power. As BIWOC it is hard to find safe spaces where we can speak candidly about the issues we face as women of color and how it impacts not only our mental health but also our spiritual and physical health. Through community and sisterhood healing is possible.

Today, with the support of the community, Alex Purple Liera has been able to activate and create safe spaces for BIWOC to heal and thrive in their communities.
